Adena works as a Medical Assistant at an extremely active primary care center in Borough Park called Perfect Health. She spends her time triaging patients and striving to make them feel at ease. Her care and sensitivity, combined with her friendliness and sincere desire to help others, ensure she is a tremendous asset and Kiddush Hashem at work.
“I love that I’m able to make patients feel comfortable. I can see when they leave, the different energy they have from when they come in. There’s more than what meets the eye, a lot of these patients have other things going on and they walk in with a lot of anxiety. Being in a position to alleviate their anxiety and put them at ease, is my favorite part of the job.
“WITS/Maalot taught me the meaning of really hard work. It proved to me my own capacity for hard work, and I will never forget that. As an out-of-towner, I felt completely welcomed and supported at WITS/Maalot. The student body is really special and taught me what it means to be welcoming and open towards everyone.”
