Accreditation and Licensure
WITS is a candidate institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) www.msche.org. WITS' accreditation status is Candidate. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on March 9, 2023 was to grant Candidate for Accreditation status. MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). WITS is nationally accredited by the Association of Institutions of Jewish Studies (AIJS). AJIS, an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education, is located at 500 W. Kennedy Boulevard, Lakewood, NJ 08701

WITS is approved as a degree-granting institution by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) to offer Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees.
